Nanocoral zinc oxide-based supercapacitors for transparent electronics

The aim of the project is to develop technology and construction of a transparent supercapacitor based on nanocoral ZnO for applications in transparent electronics.
The planned utilitary parameters of the supercapacitor are specific capacitance of 10 mF/cm2, loading current density of the order of 1 mA/cm2 and work bias of 1 V with transparency in the visible range > 70%. These parameters are higher than the ones reported for current solutions based on carbon electrodes.
